Re: New Album? 2017 or beyond?

At the Winnipeg EILF20 show in September an audience member asked him "who's your favourite music right now?" And he answered "my own (laughs)" and then clarified that he's working on a new record and listens to it when he goes out for a run, "you wouldn't think my music lends itself to running but....

Re: Gigography Archive

No Julie Doiron opened the convocation hall show (she came back out with Howie Beck to sing tell me why and carried away {they are only credited in the booklet on tell me why though}). There was also a show around that time at the rivoli with Hayden, Howie Beck, Jason Collett and at least one other ...

Re: Gigography Archive

Julie Doiron of Eric's Trip opened the Con Hall show, and dude from Great Lake Swimmers opened the Winter Garden Theatre. Also, you missed a show at the Rivoli (early 2000's) with Hayden, Howie Beck, Jason Collett and I think Al Tuck all on stage at the same time taking turns playing songs. Hayden p...

Re: Canadian Dates 2013

Calgary setlist was the same as Edmonton, but we didn't get Wide Eyes (you lucky ducks). Overall it was a good show, and the louder songs sounded a lot heavier and Home By Saturday was a slow and heavy dirge that I couldn't have imagined. There was a couple really cool jams too like the end of Hazar...

Re: A collection of live recordings

I recorded the Calgary show on the 27th, decent quality too! However hayden mentioned that the show was being recorded for the CBC website, so hopefully we'll be hearing a quality soundboard version. I will hang onto my version for now though, there was tons of funny banter between songs and a coupl...

Unknown song played at Foodstock...

Apparently he played an unknown song and then Dynamite Walls. Now that the album is out, can anybody confirm if the unknown song was in fact an Us Alone track? Also, I think that was the last performance with Cuff the Duke. Anybody know why they split?

Re: Guelph - River Run Centre - February 7th

I listened to the file and unfortunately it is completely distorted, even the between-song banter is barely understandable. it is kinda neat to get an idea of hayden's tunes sounding really grungy and distorted, reminds me of Eric's Trip. But anyway, nothing can be done to help it unfortunately. If ...

Re: Guelph - River Run Centre - February 7th

Hi, I can't PM you because apparently I "haven't participated enough". I would like to do this for everyone, I have a pro-tools rig in my project studio and a diploma from Recording Arts Canada, so I am capable of sweetening the recording as much as the original will allow. Please send me the file: ...

Man, Instructions might be Hayden's pinnacle of greatness (so far), what a beautiful/chilling/heartwarming song. I can't stop thinking about it...

Re: Introduce yourself

From Toronto, now living in Calgary, I've been a fan since Everything I Long For. I've seen Hayden live at Convo Hall (live album!), Winter Garden Theatre, Horseshoe Tavern, and MTV where he signed my Elk Lake cd. I love all his albums, but I think In Field And Town is his weakest, doesn't have the ...
